For 25 years, Uttarakhand Power Corporation will buy the electricity produced by the recipient. For the electricity, they will pay a set amount of Rs 4.64 per unit. Based on expected costs, recipients can make up to Rs 70,340 a year with a 25-kW plant. Through a nationalized or cooperative bank, the government will offer a loan that covers 70% of the entire cost of the plant.
The remaining sum must be contributed by residents as their portion. Beneficiaries will receive loans from banks with an interest rate of 8% for 15 years. The government will provide additional funding as part of the program to anyone who wants to construct a solar power plant, whether they do so using bank loans or their funds.

A Contract Performance Guarantee (CPG) must be paid by the beneficiaries to the UREDA office within 30 days after the project allocation. CPG amounts are as follows: Rs. Rs 25,000 for 50 kW. Rs 50,000 for 100 kW. 1 lakh for 200 KW. A beneficiary’s allocation will be terminated if they fail to make the timely payment of the CPG amount.
